Thermal conductivity and thermal resistance under moist conditions

People feel discomfort under wet conditions. It is mainly due to higher thermal conductivity of water as compared to air and polymers.

Moreover, moist decreases the air permeability, which reduces the evaporation of sweat from skin and increases the heat flow from skin to environment.

My PhD work shows that use of spun and air textured PP decreases the dis-comfort level under wet conditions due to almost zero moisture absorbency of PP and its low density.
